Barry Long is a third generation grower who produces hay, peanuts, soybeans, wheat and brown top millet in Live Oak, Florida.

Along with his sons, Long implements Best Management Practices to protect the natural resources found in and around his family property. Some of the most effective BMPs implemented include minimal tillage, crop rotation, prescribed burning, and buffer strip.

Long is active in Suwannee County Farm Bureau and Farmers Cooperative.
