Allison Farms

Carl Allison and his wife Joan have owned their farm since 2008 and currently produce hay and cattle. The farm has been in Carl’s family for more than four generations when his great grandfather first purchased the land in 1914 to produce turpentine.

Together, the Allisons implement Best Management Practices to conserve the water and natural resources throughout their property in an effort to protect the local environment and ensure their farm will last for future generations.

On their family farm, the Allisons rotate their cattle to preserve soil health, protect natural bodies of water, including swamps and ponds, and use no till planting each growing season.

In regards to leadership, Carl Allison has served over 25 years on the Dean’s Leadership Council and currently serves as a luminary for the Community Pharmacy Enhanced Services Network. Together, the Allison family donates to local community charities such as Senior Services, Hospice, First Presbyterian Church, and the Humane Society.

The Florida Farm Bureau Federation is honored to award a 2022 CARES designation and sign to Carl and Joan Allison for their continued dedication to being exemplary environmental stewards.
