ABOUT GREENE’S FARM

Greene’s Farms has been in business for more 30 years in Flagler County under the ownership of Tommy Miller. During this time, he has managed this 1,000-acre cabbage operation including the implementation of Best Management Practices (BMPs).

By adapting advanced technologies and implementing BMPs, he has been able to enhance the farm’s environmental protection efforts and set the standard for future employees and managers to follow.  Some of the most effective BMPs implemented include installing low flow volume nozzles on center pivots to irrigate with precise amounts of water needed.  Additionally, Miller take soil and leaf samples regularly to analyze the nutritional contents and needs of his soil and crops.

Miller has a deep respect for the environment since his family has been growing cabbage in this area for nearly 100 years and believes it is a farmer’s duty to care for what sustains us all.

Florida Farm Bureau is honored to present Mr. Tommy Miller, of Greene’s Farms, with a 2019 CARES designation and sign for his dedication in being an outstanding environmental steward.
