Hart Family Farm, Lafayette County
Since 1903, Hart Family Farm has maintained and improved the land and water resources within their operations. They implement Best Management Practices like soil sample recommendations and split applications of nutrients involving any seed, hay production and rotational cattle grazing all while maintaining natural habitats surrounding the farm to protect wildlife. The farm has evolved and grown over the years by utilizing cultural practices such as rotation, water monitoring and participating in UF/IFAS trials and results for future improvements to better utilize and conserve resources. Hart Family Farm is proud of its seven generations of family involvement and their efforts to farm while being cognizant of natural habitats.
