Since 2013, Justin Howard and his family have been producing Brangus cattle and hay in Union County.

With land that has been passed down through his family, Howard works diligently to implement Best Management Practices (BMPs) that will preserve the land for generations to come. With the use of GPS applications and soil sampling, nutrient levels are managed in his fields and pastures to improve water quality and surrounding waterways. Additional BMPs include fencing off wetlands to protect the natural wildlife habitats on and around his land.

Howard is heavily involved in Union County Farm Bureau and the Bradford-Union Cattlemen’s Association.

Florida Farm Bureau Federation is proud to award a 2019 CARES designation and sign to Justin Howard and family for their dedication in being outstanding environmental stewards.
