KINGSLEY CATTLE

First generation farmer, Andrew Strickland, produces beef cattle in the heart of Bradford County.

By implementing Best Management Practices (BMPs), Strickland works to protect the natural resources found throughout his property. He spends time regularly educating himself about new, sustainable ranching techniques. By planting multiple cover crops and native grasses together, he has managed to not only improve soil health but also the health and nutritional needs of his cattle. He has also implemented portable watering and feeding stations to help prevent runoff and erosion.

Strickland is heavily involved in the Bradford Union Cattlemen’s Association serving as a Director.

Florida Farm Bureau Federation is proud to award a 2019 CARES designation and sign to Andrew Strickland and family for their dedication in being outstanding environmental stewards.
