Whitehurst Cattle Company

Whitehurst Cattle Company is a family-owned business owned by the Whitehurst Family in Levy County. They produce beef cattle, watermelons, and timber.

Together, the Whitehursts incorporate Best Management Practices on their land to conserve the land for future generations.

On their family farm, the Whitehursts monitor their groundwater, use drip irrigation and use remote control water methods to ensure they maximize water use.

In terms of leadership, the Whitehursts are members of the Meadowbrook Church, and Adam serves as a member of the Florida Watermelon Association, the National Watermelon Association, and the Levy County Farm Bureau. He was also past president of the Levy County Cattlemen's Association.

The Florida Farm Bureau Federation is honored to award a 2022 CARES designation and sign to Adam and Lauren for their continued dedication to being exemplary environmental stewards.
