For more than 10 years, Jeffery Hamrick has operated in Greenville, Florida growing perennial peanut hay and raising beef cattle. With a desire to protect his family’s land and natural resources, Hamrick implemented Best Management Practices (BMPs) to help improve water quality throughout his farm.

Some of the most effective BMPs include soil sampling, prescribed burning, fencing off waterways, cross fencing and using GPS applications.

Hamrick is extensively involved in Madison County Farm Bureau, Florida Farm Bureau Federation and the Florida Cattleman’s Association.

Florida Farm Bureau Federation is proud to award a 2018 CARES designation and sign to Jeffery Hamrick and family for their dedication in being outstanding environmental stewards.
